Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Restaurant Manager role based at Hillyard House Hotel in Castlewellan, Northern Ireland. The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily operations of The Yard Restaurant and Mrs Coleman's Bar, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include staff management, training, and scheduling, handling guest inquiries and resolving issues, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, managing budgets, and monitoring inventory. The role will also involve collaborating with the kitchen team to develop menus and optimize the dining experience. This role would suit a hospitality professional with aspirations to develop in Hotel Manager within the property in 12-16 months.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including leadership and team management skills.
* Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities to manage daily operations efficiently.
* Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
* Familiarity with budgeting, inventory management, and food safety standards.
* Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
* Knowledge of the local area and its attractions is a plus.
* Certification in hospitality or restaurant management is advantageous but not mandatory.
