About The Role

We’re looking for a senior Health & Safety leader who can take ownership of our safety strategy and drive real cultural change across a complex, regulated, multi‑site operation.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a best‑in‑class Health & Safety strategy, embedding a safety‑first culture, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements across the organisation.

You’ll lead the development of policies, risk assessments, training programmes, incident investigation standards, and centralised reporting frameworks that support safe and effective ways of working. You’ll also play a critical role in building and maintaining our business continuity plan to protect the organisation and ensure we remain resilient in the face of disruption.

This role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration from working with ELT/SLT and senior stakeholders to engaging operational teams on the ground. You’ll influence, challenge, and guide leaders at all levels to create a proactive, high‑performance safety culture that prioritises people, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The role is hybrid, with regular presence required at our Harlow site and travel required to other sites across the company.

Why Lloyds Clinical?

We have a lot to offer to not only the 100,000 patients we support, but also to our valued employees. Lloyds Clinical has a wide range of exciting opportunities for passionate professionals across nursing, patient services, compounding, pharmacy and warehousing. These roles come with fantastic benefits including:

* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Company bonus scheme
* Outstanding training & development programmes
* Up to £1200 refer a friend bonus
* Full support from our employee assistance programme including a health and well‑being app
* Savings and discounts at multiple retailers through our rewards portal

About You

You’re a confident and influential Health & Safety leader who can operate both strategically and hands‑on. You bring credibility, resilience, and the ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders while driving a positive, consistent safety culture across a complex, multi‑site environment.

You will bring:

* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and strong practical experience applying safety principles in regulated environments.
* Proven experience leading Health & Safety strategy in a dynamic, multi‑site operation such as healthcare, retail, distribution or manufacturing.
* Strong background in developing policies, risk assessments, training programmes, and safety procedures.
* Experience leading incident investigations and root‑cause analysis, and reporting to external bodies such as HSE.
* Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change, build engagement, and promote a safety‑first mindset across teams.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engaging ELT/SLT and cross‑functional leaders.
* Experience designing and embedding business continuity plans.
* Capability to analyse safety data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable improvement plans.
* Confident communication and presentation skills, with experience briefing senior audiences.
* Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams, including remote or matrix structures.
* The ability to stay impartial, challenge constructively, and protect the business even in pressured or rapidly changing situations.

If this sounds like the challenge you’re looking for and you want to help shape the future of our safety culture, we’d be excited to speak with you.
