Job title: Electrical QS (Social Housing)
Location: Bracknell – Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home/site
Salary: £50,000 per annum + mileage reimbursement
Hours: 37 a week
Nuco Solutions are looking for an experienced Electrical QS to oversee electrical compliance, safety, and standards across a diverse portfolio of social housing properties.
This is a pivotal role where you'll take ownership of inspection, testing, and certification, while also leading a team of electricians to ensure works are carried out to the highest standards — safely, efficiently, and in line with all regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities
* Oversee electrical installations, responsive repairs, and planned works – including rewires, heating installations, and testing.
* Sign off certification and reports as the Qualified Supervisor (QS).
* Ensure all works comply with BS7671, health & safety legislation, and relevant electrical standards.
* Manage, support, and develop electricians and apprentices, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met.
* Maintain and audit accurate records, certificates, and inspection reports.
* Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and residents to resolve complex issues and ensure first-time fixes.
* Contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service and timely resolutions
Requirements
* Strong experience as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) in a housing or maintenance environment.
* City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 (Inspection & Testing)
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
* AM2 Qualification
* Hands-on knowledge of domestic electrical systems, certification, and compliance processes.
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* Strong understanding of customer service in a social housing context.
* Own vehicle and Full UK Driving Licence – mileage will be reimbursed
