The role: With a full copy of the Job Spec available on request, the Market Operator will: Play a key role in delivering a full range of work within the Market Operations team, monitoring and operating the trading desk. Upon completion of a 3-month training program, be licenced and certified to operate the electricity market auctions as part of the trading desk team. Complete specifictaskswithin pre-determined timelinesandthe teamworkto deadlines which can bein real-time,daily, weekly, monthly, while working closely with theotherteammembersto ensure theappropriate supportand backup is available within afast-paced environment. Work closely with service providers tooperateand verify results from the various wholesale markets, along with maintainingoversight of all market operations and auction activities during the auctions while liaising closely with stakeholdersto resolve operational issues, typically to very tight deadlines. The person: 3-years' experiencein adataand/orcriticaloperationalrole. Strong numerical and analytical ability. Effective time management to achieve strict deadlinesin afast-pacedenvironment. Strong attention to detail. Intermediate level Excel. Experience using multiple systemsat the same timeandability to learn andoperatevarious systemstomonitorand troubleshoot process execution. Excellent communication skills and confidence to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment. Able to work effectively within a team environmentunder time pressureswith a flexibleworkapproach. Strong skills inMS Officeproductsand file management systems e.g. SharePoint.
