As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of home operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities. Registered Manager
The Registered Manager will: Oversee daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with CIW regulations and best practices. Lead a person-centred approach to care, ensuring residents needs, preferences, and well-being are prioritised. Provide confident, compassionate leadership, supporting staff development and fostering a positive workplace culture. Drive continuous improvement through quality audits, safeguarding, and care planning. Manage home budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities
Registered Manager Provide clear leadership and support for staff, including training, supervision, and professional development. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to residents specific needs. Ensure safe and effective medication administration and accurate record keeping. Maintain compliance with health and safety, regulatory standards, and Social Care Wales Code of Professional Practice. Investigate complaints and escalate appropriately to the Head of Care or Responsible Individual. Maintain professional knowledge, registration, and competence with SCW. Implement safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Lead on quality assurance initiatives and operational performance. Person Specification
Registered Manager
The ideal Registered Manager will have: QCF Level 4 or 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Residential Management). Registration with Social Care Wales (SCW)
essential. At least 3 years experience in a management role within a care home setting. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (RISCA) and CIW inspection processes. Right to work in the UK. Proven experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual residents needs. Experience overseeing staff, safeguarding, medication, and quality improvement initiatives. Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care.
