Park Road Academy Primary school is a medium sized school, set in pleasant surroundings.

* have an EYFS Recognised Level 2 or above qualification.
* be at least 18 years of age
* have a current and relevant paediatric first aid certificate
* have experience with working with children Under 5
* have high standards.

As an EYFS Playworker:-
Main duties include:
* To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment for all children with a particular emphasis on activities suitable for 3-5 year olds.
* To implement activities which encourage social, communication and language interaction.
* To provide refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, nutrition, oral health and health and safety standards are met.
* To administer first aid when necessary.
* To consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
* To helping with club administration, including record keeping, ordering and purchasing materials and equipment, where necessary.
* To encourage child and parental involvement in the club and support.
* To facilitate good communication with all members of the club, parents, school and childcare and play related agencies.
* To attend meetings as appropriate
* To undertake appropriate and relevant training.
* To keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
* To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities' framework.
* To work within agreed club policies and procedures including safeguarding, behaviour management, Health and Safety
* To take shared responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the environment.
* To deal with all confidential matters with tact and discretion
* To help children acquire self-help skills including dressing, feeding, toileting and an awareness of personal hygiene.
* To follow the school's intimate care policy.
* Such other duties, as may reasonably be required, within the grading of this post.
Additional Duties include:
* Assist the Club lead and children in a club setting; groups and/or individuals
* Support all pupils, including those aged 3-5 and staff within the school
