Document Controller
Location: London (Office-based)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (initially for November, with potential to extend on a rolling basis)
Salary: £34,000 per annum (pro rata)

Job Purpose Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a leading architectural and design practice in London. Working closely with and reporting to the Document Control Team Lead, this role will support a range of project teams with the day-to-day running of projects, ensuring all document control activities are carried out efficiently and accurately.
This position sits within the Document Control Team, part of the wider Practice Operations Team reporting to the Head of Practice Operations. The team operates collaboratively, providing a high level of service to colleagues and clients, while driving continuous improvement across the practice. The successful candidate will be a dependable and detail-focused professional with a proactive attitude, able to adapt to the evolving needs of a busy project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and manage project extranets and EDMS platforms, including Asite and Aconex
* Carry out routine document control activities such as QA checks, uploads/downloads, version management, and handling document queries
* Manage drawing files in accordance with specific project procedures
* Ensure all document control protocols and standards are followed consistently
* Support and maintain the practice-wide document management system (Newforma)
* Provide assistance and guidance to project teams on document management best practices
Job Requirements:
* Previous document control experience is essential
* Strong working knowledge of Asite and Aconex extranets
* Experience using other EDMS platforms (e.g. Viewpoint (4P), BIM360, Newforma) is desirable
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
