We are looking for an enthusiastic electrical engineer degree apprentice to join our team specializing in electrical engineering within our European technical organization in Darlington. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure needed to become an industry expert and power your potential.
Course Overview
The electrical engineer degree apprenticeship is a developmental role within the European technical organization. You will work five days a week, including one day dedicated to study at Teesside University. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week. Upon completion, you will earn a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Responsibilities
* Understanding existing electrical systems for fault finding and troubleshooting.
* Designing new circuits and systems with in-depth electrical knowledge.
* Designing in-house control systems using PLC and logic systems.
* Being responsible for all electrical safety work on-site.
* Managing engineering projects and activities.
* Producing engineering specifications, briefs, and solving technical problems.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (A*-C), including Mathematics, English Language, and Science or Engineering.
* At least 96 UCAS points at Level 3, including Mathematics; STEM subjects preferred but not mandatory.
* Other Level 3 STEM qualifications or vocational equivalents will be considered.
* Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualifications are acceptable.
* Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
* Flexible and conscientious approach to work.
