The role
The successful candidate will be required to lead the shift operational teams in running site manufacturing areas with due regard for safety, the environment, quality, production, efficiency and economics.
The jobholders’ main responsibilities will be:-
- Provide emergency command and control response for local and site emergencies as Site Main Controller
- Ensure shift manufacturing teams operate to plan, providing support and troubleshooting expertise where necessary
- Have line management responsibility for a group of shift personnel. This includes training needs as identified in employee personal development reviews
- During out of hours, be the single point of contact for customer and supplier queries, and any other issues that may arise
- Audit and monitor manufacturing compliance with company manufacturing systems
- Assist in the development and management of continuous improvement projects.
