Overview
Brand-new 2-bed EBD children’s home in the Wirral is ready to open, and we’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to take the lead.
The property has been fully renovated and designed to feel calm, safe and homely. Policies, systems and a clear statement of purpose are already in place. What’s needed now is the right leader to bring the home to life, recruit a small skilled team, and set the culture from the start.
You’ll be supported by a Responsible Individual with over 35 years in residential childcare. This is leadership with trust at the centre: guidance when needed, but autonomy to run your service your way. With a five-year growth plan already underway, there are clear opportunities to move into dual registration or operational roles as the organisation expands.
What you’ll do
* Lead the home through Ofsted registration and beyond
* Build and mentor a trauma-informed, relational care team
* Oversee safeguarding, compliance and care planning
* Create a safe, consistent environment where young people can thrive
* Work in partnership with families, schools and professionals
* Embed reflective practice and high standards across the home
What you’ll bring
* Experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or close to completion)
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* A calm, values-led leadership style
* Full UK manual driving licence
