Requirements for the Occupational Therapist role: HCPC Registered Minimum of 2 years post qualified experience Great communication skills About the Service: This neurological care centre is a specialist care and rehabilitation service based in four acres of landscaped grounds in Essex. The team provides treatment and care for people with neurological conditions such as acquired brain injuries (trauma, infection, strokes), spinal cord injuries and peripheral or progressive conditions, with or without complex needs. The centre has grown and developed over the years into a centre of excellence that contains a full multi-disciplinary clinical team and state-of-the-art equipment. The role of an Occupational Therapist within the service involves: Working and participating as a member of the multi-disciplinary team engaging in team discussion and the decision-making process Ensuring a safe, timely, and smooth transitional approach to discharge planning Woking alongside the Occupational Therapy Lead in the provision of assessments and the development, implementation and evaluation of care pathways for residents. Providing specialist advice, equipment, intervention and occupation to maximise a residents function and quality of life. Contributing to the decision making about occupational therapy strategies in liaison with other therapists Ensuring the delivery in continuity and effectiveness of service by providing regularly reviewed treatment plans, accessible to all staff involved in the care of an individual.
