Overview
Designer — Trespass, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8.30am to 5.30pm)
Responsibilities
* Create and develop product designs
* Produce detailed technical drawings
* Select materials and finishes
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with the overall product strategy
* Ensure compliance with product safety and quality regulations
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are fulfilled
Qualifications
* Strong design portfolio showcasing a range of products and design styles.
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software.
* Excellent sketching and hand rendering skills.
* Experience with product design and development processes
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Organisational skills.
* Experience in the apparel or outdoor industry is a bonus.
Typical day
* Liaise with international suppliers.
* Understand factory procedures.
* Progress orders from inquiry to bulk approval using a critical path.
* Work with the design team, both as part of a team and individually.
* Work with trends and awareness of products in the clothing/footwear industry.
* Manage garment specifications and sample processes.
* Use design software (Adobe Illustrator).
* Capable of handling technical and fit-related matters.
