Project Manager – Midlands Region

As GRAHAM continues to grow across the Midlands, we are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments, with project values typically ranging from £20M to £100M.
You’ll be instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Support planning and execution of key project milestones
Manage resources to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
Promote a collaborative and proactive site culture
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with GRAHAM’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
Monitor site activities to uphold workmanship and regulatory standards
Assist in implementing company procedures and best practices
Project Delivery & Reporting
Track progress against programme and budget
Provide regular updates to senior management
Support procurement and cost control with the commercial team
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project goals
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams to maintain strong relationships
Attend site meetings and contribute to issue resolution and progress reporting
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria
Proven experience managing construction projects of similar scale and complexity
Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools
Commitment to health & safety, sustainability, and client satisfaction
Desirable Criteria
Experience working on projects within the Midlands region
Background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments
Relevant Professional Qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
Familiarity with digital project management platforms (e.g. Asta Powerproject, CDEs)
Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale developments
Knowledge of modern construction methods and sustainability practices
