Are you an experienced plumbing and gas professional with a passion for teaching and developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople? Our client, a reputable further education college based in Cambridge, is looking for a committed and knowledgeable Assessor/Trainer – Plumbing and Gas to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your industry expertise to support learners in achieving recognised qualifications and gaining the practical skills they need for successful careers in the plumbing and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality training and assessment in Plumbing and Gas to apprentices and full-time learners
* Support learners through their qualifications, providing feedback and guidance throughout the programme
* Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and complete assessment documentation in line with awarding body requirements
* Develop teaching and learning materials to support curriculum delivery
* Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department
Essential Requirements:
* Recognised industry qualifications in Plumbing and Gas (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent)
* Experience working in the plumbing and gas industry
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A commitment to helping learners achieve their potential
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
