Job Summary
We are looking to appoint a full‑time Locum MSK Consultant Radiologist who will specialise in delivery of our musculoskeletal & trauma imaging (MSK). The role requires competency in a wide range of services across all modalities, including interventional procedures, paediatric imaging, and high‑standard reporting in both general and subspecialty investigations.

Main Responsibilities
* Participate in the general workload of the department, including duty radiologist rota, vetting of requests, and in‑patient CT and MRI reporting.
* Provide support for the MSK‑related workload, including sonography ultrasound service, plain film reporting, x‑ray meetings, and performing arthrograms as part of the interventional service.
* Support the cross‑sectional imaging workload by undertaking cancer target CT and MRI as well as routine cross‑sectional imaging.
* Support tumour‑site specific cancer MDT meetings as deemed appropriate.
* Teach and train radiology registrars, reporting radiographers, and medical students.
* Attend departmental discrepancy and educational/audit meetings.
Qualifications
* MBBS / MBBCh and possess FRCR
* MSK imaging sub‑specialist training
* Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
* Eligibility to reside and work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications
* Higher degree
* Special interest or additional qualifications in other areas of clinical radiology
* Eligible for entry on Register and within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview
Experience
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining a UK CCT in general radiology.
* Oncology CT reporting
* Experience of audit management.
* Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of radiological investigations.
* Experience of supervising radiology trainees.
Desirable Experience
* 5 years supervised training in an appropriate ST equivalent training programme.
* Fellowship in MSK imaging.
* Clinical leadership experience or training.
* Higher management training.
* Experience as Educational Supervisor or Clinical Tutor.
Skills
* MSK US interventional skills.
* Ability to perform arthrograms.
* Ability to organise and manage radiology lists and priorities.
* Basic interventional radiology skills including US‑guided biopsies & drainages.
* Clinical supervision experience/skills.
Desirable Skills
* Motivation, leadership, and flexibility.
* Fluoroscopy body interventional skills, e.g. nephrostomies.

Grade: Consultant
Contract: Fixed term (12 months)

Pay: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum
