We have a fantastic opportunity at our Maidstone Campus for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team on a full time (37.5 hours per week), term time only, permanent basis.
Key responsibilities:
1. To support learning and teaching across the curriculum, particularly for a pupil with additional support needs in our primary school.
2. To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for joint-planning with teachers, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals / groups or short term for whole classes across all year groups in the school
3. Provide pupils with the level and type of support specified by the teacher or Learning Support Co-Ordinator.
4. Provide learning support for pupils and teachers within a Self-Directed Learning philosophy.
5. To work with pupils, understanding how to motivate and encourage them to achieve and develop through the development of their attributes, skills and knowledge.
6. To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently and be concerned for their development as learners, supporting them and responding to their individual needs.
7. Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies
8. Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
9. Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of OneSchool Global UK
10. Uphold and promulgate the OneSchool Global ethos within all areas of responsibility.
You will:
11. Have recent experience as a Learning Support Assistant or a similar role or have a relevant life-experience and passion for working with students.
12. Ideally have knowledge of EYFS, the National curriculum for KS1, KS2 and additional support needs.
13. Have experience of working with children/ young people of relevant age in a learning environment or relevant work experience with transferrable skills.
14. Have good communication skills written and verbal.
15. Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
16. Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work.
