Join to apply for the PM226464 Specialist Midwife role at NHS Scotland. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife/nurse to join our early pregnancy and bereavement service within Rubislaw ward, Aberdeen, Maternity Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated, knowledgeable and credible individual who has the confidence and interpersonal skills to work in partnership with colleagues across the system and facilitate change and innovations in care. The postholder will be provided with early pregnancy ultrasound training at a post graduate certification level. The aim of this role is to take a lead on improving the standards of early pregnancy and bereavement care, working with specialist midwives for bereavement care to support women, families and staff across NHSG, liaising with third sector agencies and taking part in multidisciplinary reviews into care.
The successful candidate will be a visible leader for Rubislaw ward and will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to facilitate a programme aimed at increasing knowledge and competence in early pregnancy care and bereavement support throughout NHS Grampian.
Responsibilities
* Lead on improving the standards of early pregnancy and bereavement care.
* Work in conjunction with specialist midwives for bereavement care to support women, families and staff.
* Liaise with third sector agencies and participate in multidisciplinary reviews into care.

NHS Grampian forms one of the fourteen regional health boards of NHS Scotland and serves Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. The role is based at Rubislaw ward, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
