The Lead PMO Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial governance, cost control, and performance tracking across IT delivery programs and projects. This role bridges the gap between finance and delivery, ensuring that financial insights drive informed decision-making and that delivery teams operate within budgetary constraints.

1. Provides financial leadership across the IT portfolio, offering robust challenge, assurance and insight to Programme Managers and senior stakeholders.
2. Support budgeting cycles and maintain rolling forecasts with variance analysis across IT projects
3. Align financial plans with delivery milestones in collaboration with project managers and delivery leads
4. Monitor costs vs. budget across resources, software, infrastructure, and third-party services
5. Produce financial reports, dashboards, and insights while identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities
6. Ensure compliance with financial controls, procurement policies, audits, and approval processes
7. Act as the authoritative finance liaison for IT delivery, ensuring data integrity across systems and continuously improving reporting and controls.
What you will need
8. Proven financial analysis experience within PMO or IT delivery environments
9. Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost tracking, and financial governance
10. Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling and reporting tools
11. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks and their financial impact
12. Experience using ERP systems and project portfolio management tools
13. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CIMA, ACCA, or PMP advantageous
14. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
15. Detail-oriented, collaborative, and driven, with the ability to lead, influence, and take initiative
