PASSENGER SERVICE AGENT
Permanent Role
Location: London Luton Airport
Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern working
Pay: £13.54 hourly rate.

About the Role:
As a Passenger Service Agent, you will be responsible for the transfer of PRM or those needing assistance from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft.
You will utilise company equipment to fulfil this role. Full training will be given.
* Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the equipment, reporting where necessary, any equipment defects in line with the Equipment Inspection procedure.
* Deliver or collect the special assistance guests at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques. Being professional, polite and courteous always.
* Carry out duties as directed by Concierge or Allocator. Escorting arriving and departing special assistance guests (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy.
* Providing assistance with baggage for PRM guests.
* Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy.
* Ensure that Allocator is updated on progress by use of PDA's.
* Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.
* Any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management.

What we are looking for:
* Previous Airline &/or Airport experience is desired although not essential as full training will be provided.
* You must be able to understand English language to adhere to company notices, staff briefings and individual instructions provided to you, which will affect your working duties.
* Self-motivated and reliable with a conscientious approach to the Safety and Security aspects of your role.
* Excellent communication skills with an empathic nature
* Must be able to lift guests in accordance with manual handling guidelines
* Demonstrate excellent customer service.
* Basic IT Skills
* Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
