About the role
This is a field-based role involving sales and driving the entire Key Application Field (KAF) Draeger Safety Portfolio (products, services, and academy) within an allocated geographical region.
The Account Manager is responsible for achieving regional targets through business retention, organic growth, and new business acquisition. The target market spans all industries.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Sell all Draeger products and services within the assigned region, focusing on:
* Growing market share
* Presenting and selling products to existing customers
* Preparing action plans to monitor and prioritize activities
* Creating customer propositions based on value
* Following up on leads from trade shows and marketing
* Achieving sales and profit targets
* Territory planning and management
* Pricing and customer profitability management
* Ensuring profitability of each customer and discount compliance
* Customer relationship management
* Monitoring upcoming tenders
* Coordinating internal teams to meet customer needs
* Building and maintaining relationships at all organizational levels
* Developing plans to deepen key customer relationships and arranging visits
* Resolving customer concerns
* Preparing presentations, proposals, and contracts
* Coordinating with sales management, product specialists, and other teams as needed
* Representing Draeger’s core values to customers
* Ensuring compliance with sales processes and KPIs
* Completing CRM entries and maintaining activity records
* Managing quotations and sales opportunities
* Data management and reporting
Participation in marketing events, trade shows, exhibitions, or seminars is also expected.

Reporting Relationships
Reports to: UK Safety Sales Manager
Team size: Part of a team of 16, requiring collaboration and cross-functional work.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH preferred; technical discipline or relevant experience with commercial skills
Related Experience: Business-to-business sales, preferably in industrial safety; account management experience essential
Skills & Competencies:
* Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Conflict resolution skills with a win-win approach
* Customer-focused
* Good presentation skills
* Ability to create and edit written materials
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize
* Valid driving license
* Willing to travel, including overnight stays
* Located within the designated sales region, home-based
