Fire Safety Intervention Scheme (FSI) Manager
The above permanent vacancy has arisen within the Community Safety & Partnerships team based at South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Llantrisant.
The Fire Safety Intervention (FSI) Scheme has the aim of reducing Fire Setting and antisocial behavior through tailored, evidence-based interventions.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community safety while shaping the future of intervention work across the Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the Fire Safety Intervention Scheme.
Your role will involve managing complex interventions, triaging referrals, and offering advice on high-risk safeguarding cases, often involving vulnerable individuals. In addition to your internal responsibilities, you will represent SWFRS nationally through active participation in National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) committees, sub-groups, working groups, and conferences to promote the Service’s work and share best practice.
The role involves frequent travel between sites throughout the South Wales area. The successful candidate must be able to travel independently. The role will also involve evening and weekend working on occasion.
