Responsibilities
A dental nurse works side by side with the Dentist, assisting them in NHS and private dental procedures, ensuring patient care and experience are at its best.

About the Apprenticeship
The Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing (level 3) will include:
* On the job training
* Online learning
* Face-to-Face training sessions
* Completion of a record of experience
* Written and Practical exams
Working and Training as Dental Nurse
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse you will work in a supportive environment; we are passionate about building great teams who trust each other, work professionally, and take ownership for the success of the practice. This includes:
* Assist the Dentist by providing chairside support, ensuring the correct equipment and materials are available
* Provide support and assistance to a wide array of patients
* Follow practice health and safety and infection control procedures
* Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and disinfected
* Accurately complete patient clinical records
* Complete all clinical daily, weekly and monthly logs and checks

Successful candidates must have their certificates to prove GCSE grade C/4+ in Maths and English or evidence of a passed Functional Skills course. Learners who do not have certificates can study for their Functional Skills course alongside their Apprenticeship.
