Driver & General Assistant – Kitchen Refurbishment – Thatcham/Newbury – Full Time – £14.50 per Hour
We are a leading award‑winning kitchen makeover company specialising in renovating existing kitchens, helping customers save around 50% of the cost of replacement.
We are looking for a full‑time Driver & General Assistant to work from our Thatcham/Newbury branch.
If you hold a full driving licence, are confident and have great attention to detail, this role may be for you.
Role
* Handle various duties within and for the showroom.
* Deliver and collect stock at sites, load the van, and unload deliveries to the store.
* Carry out general duties such as stock takes and ensuring the showroom and stock room remain tidy.
* Perform odd‑jobs as required.
* Travel to customer premises to adjust kitchen doors and cabinets.
* Drive materials and equipment to customer jobs.
* Collect materials and sundries from wholesalers.
* Collect and dispose of waste from completed kitchen fits.
* Assist fitters with work, e.g., lifting worktops, preparing doors with hinges and handles.
* Clean customer kitchens after the fit (dust, waste removal).
* Work in the storage/warehouse and support showroom tasks.
* Work full‑time permanent hours: 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
* Heavy lifting is part of the role.
* Work exclusively from the Thatcham/Newbury branch.
Person
* Preferentially have similar experience.
* Must hold a clean driving licence and be confident driving a long‑wheel‑base van.
* Handy with a screwdriver and basic tools.
* Physically able to carry heavy items.
* Flexible to work within showroom opening hours.
* Live within a commutable distance to Thatcham/Newbury.

* £14.50 per hour.
