Maintenance Supervisor
Site Based - Ilkeston Recycling, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Schedule: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off 07:00-19:00. Salary: £57,330 plus benefits.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Monitor equipment performance and ensure that all maintenance activities meet safety and quality standards.
* Follow and report all incident escalations in line with SHE requirements.
* Support and train Operators to develop within their role.
* Engage and manage contractor activity onsite.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for extrusion equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on process equipment.
* Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor work quality to meet production and maintenance goals.
Qualifications
* Time served apprenticeship in an engineering subject (HNC or equivalent desirable).
* ILM Level 3 in supervisory management or equivalent experience.
* WCM/Lean trained (or willing to be).
* Practical knowledge of key H+S legislation (e.g., HASAWA, LOLER, PUWER, IEEE regulations).
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to diagnose faults on a wide range of engineering equipment, including but not exhaustive of electrical fixed wiring systems, PLC and drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
