Responsibilities
* Provide business support to the Directorate and manage the day‑to‑day running of the administrative staff.
* Act as the operational lead for Referral to Treatment, 26‑ and 36‑week pathways, monitoring capacity and demand and ensuring accurate data reporting.
* Record and monitor staff sickness, annual and study leave, guaranteeing adequate cover to maintain clinical activity.
* Provide day‑to‑day operational support to meet all waiting‑list targets and apply best‑practice management.
* Develop patient‑focused pathways with a key emphasis on improving patient experience.
* Recruit, induct, and train new administrative staff, including conduct of performance reviews.
* Review work methods and systems to maximise efficient use of manpower and resources.
* Ensure operational policies are in place, communicated, and that mandatory and statutory training is completed.
* Coordinate refresher training on Fire Evacuation and checking procedures.
* Investigate incidents, implement lessons learned and identify organisation‑wide learning opportunities.
* Maintain high standards of confidentiality and promote good practice among staff.
* Serve as the first‑line contact for both administrative and clinical staff, liaise with HR on sickness absence, conduct back‑to‑work interviews, and refer to Allied Health professionals when required.
