About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join our team in Newcastle. This role involves providing support to students with special educational needs, assisting them in their learning and development.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored support to students with SEN.
* Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
* Provide assistance with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks.
* Support students in developing independence and confidence in their abilities.
* Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
The successful candidate will:
* Have a degree in Education or a related field.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with SEN.
* Be committed to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
