Job overview
Are you passionate about developing leaders, shaping culture, and helping people thrive?
We’re looking for an experienced Leadership Development Manager to join our People Services Directorate and play a key role in supporting EEAST’s ambition to build an inclusive, high‑performing, values‑led organisation. This is a 3 month secondment role supporting our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
Main duties of the job
As a Leadership Development Manager, you will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of high‑quality leadership, management and team development across the Trust. Your work will directly strengthen leadership capability at all levels and help embed a culture of psychological safety, continuous improvement and compassionate, evidence‑based leadership.
You’ll work in a coaching‑led, data‑informed and highly collaborative way — partnering with leaders, teams and services to understand needs, diagnose culture and team dynamics, and translate insight into meaningful development interventions. This includes shaping and delivering programmes such as the Leadership Development Framework, apprenticeships pathways and other bespoke leadership offers.
You’ll bring a strong background in leadership development, organisational development, teaching/facilitation or coaching — alongside the ability to build trust, create impactful learning experiences and influence at all levels. Teaching or facilitation qualification or significant experience in leadership development is essential. Psychometric accreditation or coaching qualifications would be an advantage, but equivalent experience is also welcomed.
You’ll thrive in a role where you can combine creativity, evidence‑based practice and strategic thinking — all while modelling the compassionate leadership behaviours we want to see across the organisation.
