Who You Are As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist, you are a motivated and committed individual with a sound working knowledge of community occupational therapy services and social care provision. You are registered as an Occupational Therapist with HCPC, hold a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, and bring at least 3 years of post-qualified experience, with a focus on adult social care. You possess experience in equipment and technology assessments and have a background in performing both complex and non-complex adaptations. Additionally, you have supervisory experience and a passion for staff and service development. What the Job Involves As part of a dedicated team, you will work with a diverse service user group across various settings. The role includes supervisory responsibilities for Occupational Therapy staff, managing a small caseload of complex cases, and overseeing daily referral enquiries, audits, and regular stakeholder meetings. Your duties also involve mentoring staff and students, managing performance, and maintaining professional standards while encouraging specialization in areas such as Moving and Handling, Technology Enabled Living, and Adaptations. You will engage in cross-agency collaboration and contribute to the development of our new Assessment & Demonstration Centre.
