Work Experience Coordinator Higher Education Institution Newcastle Full time/Perm £26,914 We are searching for x2 Work Experience Coordinators to liaise with industry partners in the construction and electrical/plumbing and painting/decorating sectors to source and distribute live industry opportunities for higher education students. The roles aims to support students experience of real, vocationally relatable, work scenarios and develop skills such as ownership, planning and project management and ultimately, building confidence. Responsibilities: Source and maintain relationships with employers in the relevant trade areas. Match students to suitable placements and ensure all health & safety and safeguarding checks are complete. Support students before, during and after placements. Work closely with curriculum staff to embed work experience into study programmes. Keep accurate records and monitor placement progress. Experience: Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to engage with employers and build partnerships. Experience and qualifications in education, training, or employer liaison is desirable. Experience working with young people in a higher education setting preferable. Knowledge of construction / trades sectors is a plus but not essential. Relevant IT skills.
