Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and deliver safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
* Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
* Assist in the warehouse as needed, for loading/unload goods and returns undelivered and adhere a professional approach to follow guidance for returns and procedures.
* owns a van (short to medium wheelbase).
* Licence: Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points – no major endorsements)
Experience .
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
* A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is required.
* Experience: Previous multi-drop or courier delivery experience preferred (Amazon, DPD, Yodel, etc.)
