Operations Assistant (Casual)

Join us as an Operations Assistant and be part of a dynamic team supporting His Majestys Theatre, Music Hall, and The Lemon Tree You'll play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and securing our venues for unforgettable events, all while ensuring our clients, artists, and visitors have the best possible experience.
What were looking for
You will be adept at dealing with people politely and effectively, have good communication skills and a positive outlook. The successful candidates will be physically fit, with the ability to complete manual handling/lifting tasks. You'll be a problem solver, calm under pressure and be able to deal with the unexpected Previous experience or knowledge of basic building maintenance, care-taking or basic technical/operational equipment may be helpful, but not essential. A driving licence would also be advantageous. Fire safety/marshalling and first aid duties will be required.
What youll be doing
The Operations Assistant provides operational, facilities and basic technical functions for Aberdeen Performing Arts venues, events and activities.
You will provide operational and basic technical assistance, liaising with staff, artists and clients to ensure all operational requirements are met. You will deal courteously with members of the public and artists, providing excellent customer service and acting as an ambassador for Aberdeen Performing Arts at all times. You will assist with the regular upkeep and maintenance of our venues. You will have responsibility for the preparation and setting up of facilities for concerts, meetings, conferences and events. This includes the reconfiguration of our auditoriums, and all room layouts.
You will assist with reporting and record keeping, and implementing and monitoring operational management systems.
As a member of the operations team you will have a key responsibility for the security and safety of our buildings, which may include opening and locking up of our venues and holding key duties related to fire safety and first aid.
You will play a pivotal role in the day to day operations of our venues, operating as a member of a high-performance team in a target oriented workplace.
