Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of Special Needs Schools in and around Salisbury and Wiltshire area.
A University Graduate with a 2:1 or higher is desirable but not essential. If you are an aspiring teaching or want to gain more experience before embarking on a teaching career, then being a cover supervisor could be for you.
You will be responsible for the class whilst the teacher is absent. There is no preparation, planning or marking involved so no need to take work home with you!
You will have the opportunity to cover a range of subjects for students across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and will be expected to control the class and manage behaviour as and when needed, with the support of a Teaching Assistant.
About the schools / job:
1. Variety of Special Needs and SEMH Provisions in and around the Salisbury and Wiltshire area.
2. Working with students in KS2, KS3 and KS4 (ages 7-16).
3. You will need to have a strong classroom presence and be confident to manage behaviour as and when necessary.
4. Full time or part time flexible positions available.
5. Lessons will all be set and you will be expected to make sure the students stay on task.

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Cover Supervisor position:
13. Ideally hold a degree in a relevant subject area
14. A passion for working with children and young people
15. You will be pro-active and adaptable, with lots of energy and enthusiasm
To be eligible for the Cover Supervisor position through Prospero Teaching you must:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child related references
