The role will close when a suitable candidate is found Location : This role is based in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge About the Role In recent years, our in-house Technical Operations (TechOps) team has been investing heavily in enhancing company-wide technology infrastructure and building a community of dedicated IT professionals who exceed traditional IT standards. As part of this growth, we are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Administrator to deliver first-class systems administration, process optimisation, hardware processing, and skill-sharing, all whilst maintaining the personal touch that our colleagues have come to know and love. Key responsibilities will include: Overseeing on-premise and cloud technologies, including file system and permissions management, device and software management via Microsoft Intune, as well as identity and access management across platforms like Microsoft 365 Setting up and issuing hardware such as laptops and peripherals, overseeing equipment lifecycles (e.g., retirement and disposal), and maintaining an accurate asset database Responding to user requests, discussing solutions, and providing required equipment Coordinating the delivery of IT services in satellite offices by working closely with non-technical representatives Supporting with system audits, such as checking access rights and reporting on inactivity Collaborating with the remote managed service provider (MSP) to provide deskside support Representing the TechOps team across the company by explaining IT processes, announcing changes, soliciting feedback, and maintaining strong relationships with other teams Travelling to national and global offices for on-site tasks such as device management, office moves, and infrastructure updates Collaborating with colleagues and project managers to deliver continuous improvements Proactively sharing new ideas to improve our IT services and technologies Within the role, you may also have opportunities to: Contribute to a variety of internally delivered and outsourced IT projects, such as implementing new systems, software, and hardware Create and manage knowledge articles, user guides, policies, and training materials Relocate to other offices and grow our IT presence throughout the business Develop skills in cybersecurity and information governance Hybrid Working Policy: We believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost.
