ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role of Security Officer, your key focus will be to:
* ensure a safe and secure environment and demonstrate a positive and professional approach towards guests, visitors and colleagues
* greet and welcome guests and visitors, control access
* carry out regular checks to prevent theft of personal property of guests
* carry out lobby presence and patrol within the property
* deal with undesirable behaviour
* manage access control and locker facilities for colleagues
* liaise with hotel security team, police, licensing inspectors and any other authorities if and when necessary
* fulfil the role of Fire Marshal in the event of a fire incident or fire alarm activation
ABOUT YOU
* previous experience within a similar role
* current SIA Door Supervisor license
* excellent customer service skills
* great observation and monitoring skills
* ability to be assertive in any situation in a professional way
* ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of the Security team
