The Role:
We are currently recruiting 10 HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client’s busy transport operation in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, delivering palletised goods to supermarkets using curtain-sided vehicles.
This role is ideal for reliable drivers looking for consistent shifts and competitive pay with a well-respected, long-standing haulier. You’ll be responsible for ensuring deliveries are made safely and on time, maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout.
Shift Options Include:
1. Day Shifts: Start times between 02:00 and 08:00 (until finish)
2. Night Shifts: Start times between 16:00 and 22:00 (until finish)
Requirements:
3. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 6 months
4. Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience
5. No more than 6 penalty points (SP offences only)
6. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
7. Ability to use curtains and safely complete reversing manoeuvres (assessment required)
8. Good level of written and spoken English (for paperwork and communication)
9. Willingness to work flexibly across various shift patterns
10. Ideally long-trainer trained, but not essential – training can be provided
