An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join a forward-thinking Adult Social Care team. This role is ideal for a qualified professional ready to take the next step in their career by leading practice, supervising others, and managing complex cases within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Role:
As a Senior Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Holding a complex caseload and managing higher levels of risk while ensuring person-centred outcomes.
* Providing formal and informal supervision, coaching, and mentoring to social care staff.
* Supporting the delivery of strengths-based assessments and early intervention work.
* Driving quality assurance and contributing to audit and service improvement activity.
* Representing the service in multi-agency meetings and panels, ensuring agreed actions are implemented.
* Supporting lone working procedures and operational team duties, including the OT Duty service.
About You:
You’ll be a confident and capable practitioner who:
* Holds a degree in Social Work and is registered with Social Work England.
* Has at least 2-3 years' post-qualifying experience in adult services.
* Possesses expert knowledge of social care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning frameworks.
* Has experience in mentoring, supervision, and supporting team development.
* Understands performance frameworks and can confidently use data to drive improvement.
* Demonstrates strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
