Igloo is working with a leading vehicle movement company, and due to a newly secured, high-profile contract across London and the surrounding areas, we are now recruiting experienced Light Transport Operators to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified operator with experience in the safe and efficient recovery of motorcycles and specialist vehicles.
The Role:
1. Recovering a variety of vehicles across London, safely and efficiently using recovery vehicles and equipment
2. Strictly adhering to all safety standards and regulations
3. Providing a professional and courteous service to clients and customers at all times
4. Conducting thorough vehicle inspections, documenting any damages or issues
5. Working closely with other recovery drivers and support staff
6. Completing all admin duties accurately and on time, including using electronic devices and reporting systems
The Person:
7. Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a recovery or tow truck driver
8. Valid Driver CPC
9. Working knowledge of tachograph legislation
10. Category C driving licence (Category CE desirable — training provided to achieve CE if required)
11. Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment
12. No previous driving disqualifications (DR, CD, DD, IN, or TT99 endorsements will not be accepted)
13. High standards of safety and professionalism
14. Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
15. Excellent communication skills
16. Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised
17. Must hold a motorbike licence
18. All successful candidates will be required to pass NPPV2 vetting
Desirable:
19. IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) certification
