Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting a Class 2 (Category C) HGV Driver to support one of our highly regarded removals and relocation clients. This is an ad-hoc role, ideal for drivers seeking flexibility. In addition, we can offer access to further driving opportunities across our wider client base to help keep your workload consistent. Our removals clients are known for their professional standards and supportive working culture. They value drivers who are reliable, hands-on, and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys meeting new people, staying active, and working as part of a dependable, hard-working team. Key Responsibilities Driving a Class 2 vehicle in and around Edinburgh, with occasional UK-wide trips Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of furniture and household items Supporting customers during their move, often at an important life moment Working closely with an experienced removals team to ensure smooth relocations Handling all items with care, attention, and professionalism ✅ What You’ll Need A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card Good physical fitness, with regular lifting and manual handling involved A team-focused attitude and willingness to get involved Previous removals experience beneficial but not essential – training provided What’s on Offer ✔ £17.65 per hour (including advanced holiday pay) ✔ Ad-hoc removals work with opportunities for additional shifts ✔ Access to other Class 2 roles to help maintain regular earnings ✔ Immediate starts available ✔ Friendly, well-managed, and reputable clients ✔ Varied work – no two days are the same ✔ Supportive, team-based working environment Interested?
