About the Role
At Boston Energy, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Technician Attraction, Development & Retention Manager.
In this critical role, you will lead the design and delivery of our Technician Strategy—ensuring we attract, develop, and retain a skilled, motivated, and mobile technician workforce to support our continued global growth.
You’ll manage the entire technician lifecycle—from proactive recruitment and onboarding through to training, progression, and long-term engagement. You will work cross-functionally across Recruitment, Operations, Learning & Development, and HR to ensure our technician-focused people strategies align with operational needs, business goals, and individual aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Technician Strategy across attraction, development, and retention.
* Shape and deliver the Recruitment Strategy, supporting our technician pipeline globally.
* Develop clear technician career paths and deliver impactful onboarding and mobilisation programmes.
* Partner with L&D to create training and upskilling initiatives.
* Analyse workforce data to identify trends and drive improvements in hiring, retention, and performance.
* Design and implement engagement and recognition initiatives focused on technician wellbeing, purpose, and growth.
* Ensure global compliance, fairness, and consistency in technician terms, deployment, and development.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align talent initiatives with project timelines, commercial strategy, and technician feedback.
What We’re Looking For
* Demonstrated experience in workforce strategy, recruitment, or technician development within technical, engineering, or offshore sectors.
* Knowledge of onboarding, learning and development frameworks, and career progression planning.
* Understanding of global mobility, labour law compliance, and field-based workforce deployment.
* Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and demonstrate impact.
* Strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organisational Development, Business Management, or related field.
* Experience implementing recruitment or technician-focused strategies in a global or multi-site organisation.
* Collaborative experience working with Operations, HR, and L&D teams to deliver cross-functional projects.
