The Accounts Payable role will play a key role in supporting the finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting activities. The role involves working across accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger tasks, supporting internal stakeholders and contributing to accurate financial records and reporting. This is a part-time role, around 3 days (or 22.5 hours) per week. We’re flexible on how you work these hours – whether as 3 full days or spread across the week. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is eager to build their experience in a busy and collaborative finance function. The role will also work with the Edinburgh office management team on a variety of tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyse and reconcile ledger accounts Process supplier invoices and nominal ledger receipts/payments Prepare and submit payment runs and other ad hoc bank transfers Assist other in the team with reporting and reconciliation tasks Respond to payment and invoice queries from internal and external stakeholders Generate and issue sales invoices Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Provide admin support to the finance team as needed Office management support Requirements Previous experience working in a busy accounts or finance department Familiarity with accounting systems and processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure Well organised with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment Willingness to learn and contribute to a continually evolving process framework Experience within property or real estate finance (desirable but not essential) Benefits Holidays – 25 days per year (pro-rata) plus 10 bank holidays and local public holidays in Scotland Private Medical Insurance Health Cash Plan Pension Death in Service Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work Scheme
