Job Role: Junior Service Technician (Electronics)
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000-£34,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday Days, 40 hours/week

The Client:
A global leader in environmental monitoring and instrumentation solutions is expanding its Service Department and seeking a Service Technician to be trained and developed within the Particle Counter and Electronic industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience or a base understanding in calibration, diagnostics, and repair of precision instruments or electronics down to a component level looking to pursue a career in a rapidly expanding industry.
The Package:
Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week)
20–25% travel to customer sites and regional offices

The Responsibilities:
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on instrumentation and particle counters
Analyse service data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Communicate technical issues and resolutions to internal teams
Report recurring service trends to support product development
Provide on-site service support as required (20–25% travel
The Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in technical service, instrumentation, or electronics
Proficiency in Electronic Testing, Circuit Boards, PCB assembly
Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
Familiarity with electronic components and basic repair techniques
Eagerness to learn develop and grow long term, participate in training and development when necessary.
Educated to a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or Degree in a relevant field
Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and service tracking software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
