Our client, a leading provider in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team in Peterborough, with hybrid working available. This is a permanent position ideal for someone who is experienced in procurement and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities: Aggregate demand across Water Recycling and Water programme areas, ensuring all relevant information is included to support the procurement of goods and services. Employ ethical and robust methods to select supply chain partners correctly. Support Delivery on Time, managing and escalating any potential risks to the business. Implement Health & Safety processes and deliverables throughout the life cycle of each project. Issue performance scorecards across the supply chain and provide feedback to project teams. Ensure all deliverables are received within agreed time frames (programme, signed contracts, and site documentation). Assess and implement efficiencies via value-added approaches within the Supply Chain. Engage in proactive stakeholder management, providing updates, analysis, reports, and innovation to increase knowledge share and confidence. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a senior Procurement/Sourcing role, demonstrating excellent stakeholder management across a wide range of demanding audiences. You will possess: Self-motivation and accountability Experienced negotiation skills and the ability to professionally challenge while presenting transparent and honest facts. Strong experience in driving performance with the supply chain and an understanding of how a strong team ethic can deliver positive results. Integrity and the customer's best interests at heart during all activities. Ability to manage a busy workload and deliver Portfolio strategies.
