Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 7-bed children’s residential home supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The home provides round-the-clock support, including sleep-in staff and waking night cover, and focuses on delivering a safe, nurturing and stable environment that promotes positive outcomes for every child.
đź’Ą As a Registered Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage all operations within the 7-bed residential children’s home
* Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with regulations and quality standards
* Oversee high-quality, child-centred care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
* Lead safeguarding practice, reporting and multi-agency coordination
* Promote education, independence and emotional wellbeing for all children in the home
* Recruit, train and supervise staff, promoting a consistent and supportive team culture
* Manage rotas, supervisions, appraisals and workforce performance
* Maintain a safe, stable home environment that meets all health, safety and therapeutic requirements
* Work closely with social workers, schools, health professionals and families
* Ensure records, incident reporting and care documentation are consistently accurate and compliant
💥 What we’re looking for:
* Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential or disability setting
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism or complex behavioural needs
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop a staff team
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience working with multi-agency partners
* Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
