Annual salary: up to £50,000.00 Quantity Surveyor Dartford Full time, Permanent 42.5 hours per week £50,000 per annum Car allowance With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide. About the role: Your role involves comprehensive management of contracts, including cost control, budget analysis, and quantity surveying. You oversee the production of budgets, valuations, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. You manage subcontractors from order placement to payment certification, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with financial controls. Monitoring key performance indicators and maintaining professional communication with stakeholders are crucial. Additionally, you uphold high standards of Health & Safety and company policies, while being flexible to cover absences and attend meetings and training sessions as needed. Key Criteria: UK full driving licence Construction knowledge Previous experience as a quantity surveyor. Knowledge of NHF Contract knowledge NEC, JCT and other forms of contracts. Qualification in HNC or equivalent All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
