A highly regarded and successful all-through school is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Teacher of Chemistry to join its thriving secondary phase from September 2025 or sooner. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Chemistry specialist to lead, inspire, and shape the delivery of Chemistry across the secondary curriculum.

With state-of-the-art science facilities and a dynamic, supportive environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning, supporting both staff and students in reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop the Chemistry curriculum across Key Stages 3–5.
* Inspire excellent teaching practices within the subject and model outstanding classroom practice.
* Raise attainment and progress in Chemistry through effective planning, assessment, and curriculum design.
* Support and mentor colleagues within the department, fostering professional development and collaboration.
* Contribute to the strategic development of the science faculty as part of the middle leadership team.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Chemistry or a related science discipline.
* A proven track record of excellent classroom teaching, particularly at Key Stages 4 and 5.
* Experience in curriculum development and leading initiatives that raise student achievement.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wider life of the school.
* Previous experience in a middle leadership or subject lead role.
* Experience in an all-through or multi-phase setting.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in science education.
