Oastlers School is a purpose-built school for learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. Some have additional learning difficulties compounded by other complex issues such as mental health problems which combined create barriers to learning.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised Senior Administrator to join our team at our Keighley site. The candidate will assist in the provision of administrative service for the school. The role will involve working closely with colleagues including the SENDCo to see tasks through to completion and taking responsibility and the use of initiative in key areas. Line manage reception/administrator and site manager.

The ideal candidate will possess robust administrative experience and a strong proficiency in office software. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing essential support to various departments, and enhancing overall productivity.

Duties

* Manage daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation.
* Provide administrative support to senior management and other team members as required.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, correspondence and other documentation relating to SEND students, under the direction of the SENDCo within the EHCP process
* Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Maintain accurate records through data entry and clerical tasks, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
* Utilise Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for document creation, spreadsheets, and presentations.
* Line management responsibility for reception/administrator and site manager
* Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes as necessary.
* Foster a positive office environment by supporting team members and promoting effective communication.

Qualifications

* Proven office experience with a strong background in administrative roles.
* Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
* Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proficient typing skills with attention to detail in all written communications.
* Previous clerical experience is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of office procedures and protocols.
