Business & Sales Executive

Location:
Lancaster, United Kingdom (Applicants must be based in the Lancaster area)

Salary:
Circa £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking a
driven and commercially minded Business & Sales Executive
, based in the
Lancaster area
, to strengthen DTL's business development and client engagement activities.

The role combines
sales, marketing, and client relationship management
, and will suit someone who is
energetic, organised, and eager to take ownership of growth initiatives
within a rapidly evolving technology business.

You will help drive DTL's presence in
AI, cybersecurity, and Net Zero markets
, engaging with clients, attending trade shows, managing media output, and building brand visibility across global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

* Client engagement and lead generation
* Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and collaborators.
* Identify new business opportunities across DTL's international markets.
* CRM and pipeline management
* Manage DTL's
CRM system (HubSpot)
to track leads, client communications, and business performance.
* Marketing and digital presence
* Create and manage marketing materials, blogs, and case studies.
* Coordinate
LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok
, and other media channels.
* Develop short-form video, visual content, and campaign material for DTL's digital platforms.
* Events and trade shows
* Represent DTL at industry exhibitions, conferences, and trade missions in the UK and overseas.
* Reporting and business support
* Work closely with the CEO and management team to prepare presentations, marketing packs, and client proposals.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Previous experience in
sales, marketing, or business development
, preferably in
technology, engineering, or cybersecurity sectors
.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confident both in person and on the phone.
* Strong writing skills for creating blogs, marketing copy, and media content.
* Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
, with familiarity with
Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
and
CRM databases
.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
* Presentable and confident representing the company at client meetings and events.
* Based in or near Lancaster

* Experience with
video editing, graphics, or social media analytics
