Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Are you confident supporting teenagers in a busy secondary school environment and helping them stay engaged across KS3 and KS4? A supportive secondary school in Doncaster is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real impact in the classroom.

Staff work collaboratively across departments to ensure consistency in behaviour, high expectations and strong pastoral support for pupils aged 11–16.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across KS3 and KS4 within a range of subject areas, helping them access learning and stay engaged in lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to support classroom delivery, provide targeted academic support and assist with behaviour management in a fast-paced secondary setting.
Responsibilities:
* Support teachers across secondary classrooms and subject lessons
* Work with KS3 and KS4 students on a one-to-one and small group basis
* Help pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons
* Support behaviour management in line with school policies
* Assist with GCSE-focused learning and exam preparation activities
* Contribute to a structured and positive secondary classroom environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary setting
* Strong understanding of supporting KS3 and KS4 learners
* Confident managing behaviour in a classroom environment
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* A proactive, calm and adaptable approach
* Genuine interest in supporting secondary education and student progress
