RM Recruit are supporting a Shropshire based provider of Social Housing to recruit an Interim Management Accountant for their team. This is a key role concerning the development of financial controls and reporting frameworks that support informed decision‑making at board level.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Producing monthly management accounts, KPIs, and financial dashboards.
* Overseeing repair job/process costing to maintain accurate yield, labour, and overhead standards that reflect the true cost of each job.
* Evaluating capital programme proposals, monitoring spend, and reviewing activity with the Asset Management Team to maintain strong capital spend controls
* Presenting financial insights to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
* Preparing rolling forecasts and cash flow projections.
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining internal controls.
* Ensuring financial processes comply with policies, regulations, and audit requirements.
We are seeking candidates who have worked in similar Not for Profit or Public sector environments and who are confident with developing, maintaining and running financial management accounting systems, processes and approaches in regulated sector settings.
This role will have a duration of 6 months with the potential to convert to a permanent post.
