Overview
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) has expanded its Respiratory Service to create a full rotational model across both Bristol and Weston sites. We are advertising for one Consultant Respiratory Physician to cover inpatient and outpatient activity at both sites, with a focus on developing a specialist asthma service and other specialist interests.
Responsibilities
* Attend and manage general respiratory clinics and specialist interest clinics.
* Support bronchoscopy services and manage inpatient responsibility for the respiratory wards on a rotational basis.
* Provide on‑call rota support for the current Weston Consultant out of hours.
* Ensure clinical, national and local priorities such as maximum waiting times for referral to treatment are achieved.
* Comply with all relevant Trust policies for patient care administration, including triage of referrals, discharge summaries and DNA management.
Qualifications
* GMC Specialist Register holder or within six months of completing CCT.
* Ideally NHS experience; non‑UK applicants wishing to apply for specialist registration may be considered on a fixed‑term basis.
* Flexible attitude towards caseload management with service managers and clinical colleagues.
